It seems we missed a sign somewhere. We were looking for dessert but wound up in the desert. Some miscommunication about eating a caramel apple... and now... through shifting sands we are seeking--with every crevice chafed and dry--merely the sound of a drop of water on the asphalt ass of this giant beast we are riding to the edge of nowhere. With formica shards peppering our faces, with plastic dust filling our lungs, we wander through this wasteland wondering what might have been had we seen the sign--or been looking for something else.
And if there might be... or if we might find...
